Do I Need A Guarantor
A guarantor, is a person who takes on an obligation
to guarantee the conduct of your mortgage.
In most cases a guarantor is not required. Certainly a guarantor will not be of
any assistance if you do not have sufficient deposit.
However if you are a little light on income, a guarantor may be useful. Be
mindful that in the case of a home loan to be a guarantor you need to have some
interest in the property, therefore a person who is not on the tile of the house
can not act as a guarantor for it’s mortgage.
If you do not have sufficient deposit, but your parents are home owners, you may
be able to use their property to provide the additional guarantee required for
your mortgage.
